Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a cherished Mexican holiday that honors and celebrates the lives of those who have passed away. Families gather to create colorful altars, share stories, and remember their loved ones with joy and gratitude. This unique race at Yokuts Park in Bakersfield invites you to participate in a heartfelt celebration filled with culture, community, and connection.

We have added a Dia de los Muertos Half Marathon! A few reasons to join our event:
- Unique Medal: All finishers will receive a special medal.
- Hoodies for All Participants: If registered by Sunday, October 5th. Shirts for those who sign up after!
- Coffee Mug: If registered by Sunday, October 5th.
- Age Group Awards: For both 5K & Half Marathon.
- Cash Prizes: $100 to first male/female in Half Marathon!
- Team Contest: $200 for the team with most participants!
- Coffee Tumbler: For top 10 overall male/female in 5K & Half Marathon!
- Food & Refreshments: Tacos, hot chocolate, and Dia de los Muertos pan dulce.
- Event Goodie Bag: Each participant receives one.
- Kids Races: Fun for the younger participants!
- Festivities: Folklorico dancing and music throughout the event.
- Chipped Timed Event: For accurate race results.

Bib Pick Up/Late Registration: It's ONLY on race day, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19TH, from 5:45-7:45AM @ Yokuts Park.
Half Marathon Start: 7:00AM
Kids Races Start: 7:45AM
5K/2 Mile Walk Starts: 8:00AM
