🏃♂️ Run for Jude 5K
The Run for Jude 5K honors the memory of Jude Jawhar, who bravely battled Osteosarcoma for four years before passing away at the age of 18. Despite spending much of her teenage years undergoing multiple surgeries and chemotherapy treatments, Jude remained an extremely motivated individual who had hopes of becoming a nurse to help other children going through a similar situation.
💖 Support for the Jude Jawhar Foundation
To honor her legacy, 100% of participant registrations and donations go directly to the Jude Jawhar Foundation, which supports:
- Johns Hopkins Hospital – Pediatric Oncology Research: Dedicated to advancing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer, this organization relies on community donations to fund groundbreaking research and provide critical care for young patients.
- The Jude Jawhar Scholarship for General Nursing at Towson University: Created to celebrate Jude’s dream of becoming a nurse, this scholarship provides financial assistance to future nurses at Towson University, helping them pursue careers in healthcare.
