Program Overview

This is a FREE 6 week training program for EVERYONE - all ages and abilities to learn to run or walk for exercise.

Meeting Schedule

• Frequency: Clinics will meet twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:00 PM.
• Location: Behind the Cabot Administration Office near the tennis courts.
• Parking: You can park at any of the nearby parking lots, but please do not park in the tennis court parking lot.
• Start Date: The first clinic session will be Thursday, April 2nd with an informational meeting.

Training Groups

• Walker A: Your goal is to train to walk up to 3.1 miles walking a casual pace.
• Walker B: The duration of the faster walking intervals will increase weekly, improving your pace.
• Beginning Runner Group A: For those who currently don't run - Starts with 15 seconds running - 3 minute walking intervals.
• Beginner Runner Group B: For those running minimally - Starts with 45 second running - 2 minute walking intervals.
• Intermediate Runner: Your goal is to train to run consistently up to 3.1 miles.
• Advanced Runner: Currently can run for 30 minutes non-stop: the goal is to increase running endurance and speed.

Age Participation

• Ages 10-14: May participate in the clinic when accompanied by a parent who stays with the child at all times in the same group.
• Ages 15-17: May participate in a separate group: the parent must be present at the clinic.
• Restrictions: No strollers, wagons, "wheels" of any kind will be allowed.
• Pet Policy: Dogs are not allowed at the clinic.
