🏃‍♀️ About Imagine

• Organization: Imagine is a growing and evolving organization, that began in Westfield, NJ, and serves families from over 57 towns in NJ.
• Support: Imagine provides free, year-round grief support for children and families coping with loss due to death.
• Education: In addition to providing grief support at its two centers in Mountainside and Newark, Imagine provides grief education and training to schools, agencies, and workplaces.
• On-site support: Support after any traumatic loss is also offered.

🌳 About Greta's Run

• Founders: Greta’s Run was founded in memory of Greta Schoenemann by her childhood friends Ben Nanna and Jayne Ruotolo.
• Tragic Event: Greta was a Westfield High School freshman when she died from injuries sustained when a tree branch fell on her and her classmates during lunch.
• Anniversary: This year is the 12-year Anniversary of when the memorial race began.
• Community Event: One of the largest 5K’s in the area, bringing people together in memory of loved ones.

🕊️ Memory Walk

• Participation: After the 5K race and Kids Fun Run, a Memory Walk will be held inviting everyone in our community to participate.
• Lawn Signs: You can purchase a lawn sign in honor of a person in your life who has died.
• Message of Remembrance: Lawn signs will line the perimeter of the walk and the end of the run, sending a message that although our people have died, they are not forgotten.
• Community Solidarity: Join us to walk alongside our families, children, and community to convey that their loss matters, and they are never forgotten.

👕 Race Day Details

• T-Shirt and Bib Pick Up: Available in advance of race day at Fleet Feet Westfield, specific days and times will be announced in April.
• Morning Pick Up: Shirts and bibs will also be available for pick up on the morning of the race beginning at 8AM.
