Event Overview

• Target Audience: Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just looking for a fun, healthy way to start your Independence Day, this event is for you!
• Post-Race Celebration: Stick around after the race to enjoy the Edmonds 4th of July Parade and keep the celebration going.
• Proceeds: All proceeds benefit the Chamber's programming and bringing great events to Edmonds.
• Community Focus: This year the focus is more on the parade and community fun.

5K Race Details

• Timing: The 5K is timed and prizes are given for the top three runners in each gender and first place finisher in each age category.
• Awards: Winners will be recognized and prizes given shortly after the end of the race finish.
• Course Map: View the 5K route here.
• Shirt Sizes: Shirt sizes are not guaranteed if you register after June 10th.

Family Events

• 1K Family Run: A fun and exciting race for the whole family with a fee of $5 for kids 13 and under and $10 for participants over 13.
• Shirt Optional: Price does not include a shirt, but you can add one on at the time of registration.
• Untimed: The 1K is untimed.
• Senior Saunter: A special 1K for all active seniors, where you can take part at your own pace.

Race Logistics

• Starting Point: Start for both races is at Edmonds City Park and Finish line is at 4th and Main.
• 5K Route: The route winds through the scenic streets of Edmonds and Town of Woodway, culminating in a thrilling finish right on the Edmonds 4th of July parade route.
• 1K Route: The 1K distances head straight to the parade route from City Park!
• Costume Contest: Come dressed in your most festive red, white, and blue attire for a chance to win prizes in the 4th of July Costume Contest before the race begins.

Special Features

• Beat Ol’ Man Brackett: For those speedier runners, if you are one of the first 50 people to beat the costumed Ol' Man Brackett to the finish line, you'll earn bragging rights for the year and a prize!
• VIP Parade Seats: New this year! Register before June 10th to be automatically entered to win 4 seats in the VIP Parade Viewing area.
• Awards Ceremony: Awards at finish line will take place at 10:30 am.
• Kids Parade: Kids Parade starts at 11:30 am followed by the Main Parade at 12:00 pm.

Schedule

• July 2: Pre-race packet pickup at Edmonds Chamber Log Cabin at 120 5th Ave N, Edmonds, WA 98020: 3:00pm - 7:00pm.
• July 4: 8:00am - Registration and Packet Pick up opens.
• 9:00am - Costume contest.
• 9:30am - 1K Family Fun Run Start, followed by 1K Senior Saunter Start at 9:35am and 5K start at 9:45am.

• Strollers: YES, strollers are allowed.
