🎆 The Edmonds 4th of July 5K

Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just looking for a fun, healthy way to start your Independence Day, this event is for you! Stick around after the race to enjoy the Edmonds 4th of July Parade and keep the celebration going. We are changing it up a bit this year and while there is still a chance to beat Ol’ Man Brackett, the focus is more on the parade and community fun. All proceeds benefit the Chamber's programming and bringing great events to Edmonds.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Date: July 4, 2025
• Location: 600 3rd Ave S, Edmonds, WA

• 5K Timing: The 5K is timed and prizes are given for the top three runners in each gender and first place finisher in each age category. Winners will be recognized and prizes given shortly after the end of the race finish. View the 5K route here.

👕 Registration Perks

• Early Registration Bonus: RACE T-SHIRTS are included with 5K registrations if you sign up by June 4.
• Additional Shirt Option: Option to purchase additional shirts available to 5K and 1K participants if registered by June 4.
• 1K Family Run: The 1K Family Run is a fun and exciting race for the whole family. Registration is free, but required to participate!
• Timing: The 1K is NOT timed.

🏁 Race Route

Start for both races is at Edmonds City Park, and the finish line is at 4th and Main.

The race route winds through the scenic streets of Edmonds and the Town of Woodway, culminating in a thrilling finish right on the Edmonds 4th of July parade route, where crowds cheer you on!

👴 Challenge Ol’ Man Brackett

Think you’re fast? Try to beat Ol’ Man Brackett! For those speedier runners, you can still race against a costumed runner portraying one of Edmonds' legendary founders. If you are among the first 25 people to beat him to the finish line, you’ll earn bragging rights for the year and a prize to prove it!

🎉 Costume Contest

Show off your patriotic spirit! Come dressed in your most festive red, white, and blue attire for a chance to win prizes in the 4th of July Costume Contest before the race begins.

• July 2: Pre-race packet pickup at Edmonds Chamber Log Cabin at 120 5th Ave N Edmonds, WA 98020
• 3:00 PM: Packet pickup opens
• 7:00 PM: Packet pickup closes
• July 4: Registration and Packet Pickup opens at 8:00 AM: pre-race fun and activities start
• 9:00 AM: Costume contest
• 9:30 AM: 5K start
• 9:35 AM: 1K start
• 10:15 AM: Awards at finish line
• 11:00 AM: Kids Parade starts
• 12:00 PM: Main Parade starts
