As Memorial Day approaches this May, join us in making a difference for our nation’s heroes by participating in the Legacy of Courage Half Marathon. All proceeds from this inspiring event will benefit The Outdoor Disabled Veterans Program (The ODV), through Knowledge Point Network. This is more than just a race—it’s an opportunity to honor and support disabled veterans by helping them reconnect with the healing power of nature in a community that understands their struggles.

🏅 Race Distances

The Legacy of Courage Half Marathon offers race distances for participants of all levels:

• 1 Mile: Aimed at all ages and skill levels.
• 5K: A chip-timed event through a scenic course.
• Quarter Marathon: 6.55 miles of excitement and achievement.
• Half Marathon: 13.1 miles for serious runners!

For our young runners, we’re thrilled to introduce the Kids Dash, a fun event for children ages 10 and under to get involved in the spirit of the race!

🎖️ The Ruck Event

For the overachievers, both the 5K and Quarter Marathon will offer a Ruck Event—an exciting challenge for participants who want to add a little more weight and intensity to their race.

Nestled northeast of Tomball, Texas, Burroughs Park is one of Harris County Precinct 4’s most cherished outdoor destinations. Spanning an impressive 320 acres, this versatile park offers the perfect setting for our Legacy of Courage Half Marathon. The park’s blend of natural beauty, recreation, and accessibility creates an inspiring backdrop for participants of all ages and abilities.

• Vendors: Enjoy a variety of products and services on-site.
• Refreshments: Complimentary snacks and drinks post-race.
• Exciting Atmosphere: Hosted by Bigfoot Running Company with ample support.
• Awards: Celebrate performances with overall and age group awards.

🏅 Finishers' Rewards

All finishers of all distances will receive a medal and shirt.

⭐ Volunteer Opportunities

• Water Station: Ensure runners stay hydrated.
• Course Monitors: Keep runners safe and supported.
• Finish Line Helpers: Assist with finish line tasks.
• Turtle/Sweeper: Support the last runner while getting a workout.

🗓️ Event Schedule

• 5:30-6:45am: Packet Pickup
• 6:55am: Kids Dash
• 7:00am: National Anthem and Race Start!
• Awards: Available immediately following the race.
