Girls on the Run Spring Celebratory 5k presented by Dayton Children's Hospital and made possible by Up and Running

Race Overview

The Spring rendition of the Girls on the Run 5k will return to Wright State University. Girls on the Run is an incredible program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Girls on the Run strives for a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

Running Buddy Support

• Participation: Girls on the Run participants traditionally run alongside an adult Running Buddy.
• Role: The job of the Running Buddy is to provide one-on-one support and encouragement to their girl.
• Encouragement: Help our girls find their happy pace and share in the magic of helping her cross the finish line.
• Give-away: Race day give-away is a Girls On The Run branded reusable bag, first come first served.

Fun Run Details

• Event: Continuing a Fun Run this year, the half-mile run will start and finish at the same start/finish line as the 5K.
• Time: Fun Run will start at 12:30pm.
• Timing: The Fun Run will not be timed, but a clock will be running for participants to see their time.
• Eligibility: It's open to anyone not quite ready to take on the entire 5K - a great opportunity for younger siblings and friends!

• Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026.
• 5k Start Time: 1:00pm.
• Fun Run Start Time: 12:30pm.
• Check-in: Doors open for registration and check-in at 11:30am.

Cost Information

• Early Bird: $35 (now through April 18th).
• Regular Price: $40 (after April 18th).
