Piermont Fire 5K

Event Overview

The Piermont Fire 5K - raising money and supporting Volunteer Fire and EMS in Rockland County and the Lower Hudson Valley! Come join us for a beautiful walk run along the Piermont Pier overlooking the Hudson River!

Purpose of the Event

• Support: The Piermont Fire 5K is an event to support, help recruit new members, and raise money for our participating Charity Partners.
• Anniversary: The Empire Hose Company #1 (aka Piermont Fire Department) created the event to kick off its 175th-year anniversary celebration.
• Community Service: 2026 will be our 175th year serving our community.
• Mutual Aid: Over the years, all of our mutual aid partners in the Fire & EMS services have supported our collective safety, and with this event, we want to support them.

Volunteer Organizations

• Dedication: These volunteer organizations dedicate the majority of their time to responding to calls, training their members, and managing the organizations.
• Fundraising: Fundraising often takes a back seat to other priorities and recruiting new members continues to be challenging.
• Membership: Membership and volunteerism are the lifeblood of their success.
• Support: Join us for a beautiful day overlooking the Hudson River as we support our local Volunteer Fire and EMS organizations.

• 5K Walk: 9:00am - line up behind runners
• Kid's 100 yard dash: 10:00am

Kid's 100 Yard Dash Information

• Eligibility: 100 yard dash - children ages 8 and under.
• Guidelines: Age is a general guideline: child’s athletic ability and parental guidance needed for the correct placement in this non-timed and non-competitive fun run.

Event T-shirts

All 5K runners and walkers will receive a custom event T-shirt. Size availability may vary – additional shirts available for purchase. We'll do our best to have size availability for everyone - but please know we may run out of popular sizes - late registrations may not get their first size choice.
