The Piermont Fire 5K - raising money and supporting Volunteer Fire and EMS in Rockland County and the Lower Hudson Valley! Come join us for a beautiful walk run along the Piermont Pier overlooking the Hudson River!

🎉 Event Purpose

The Piermont Fire 5K is an event to support, help recruit new members, and raise money for our participating Charity Partners. The Empire Hose Company #1 (aka Piermont Fire Department) created the event to kick off its 175th-year anniversary celebration. 2026 will be our 175th year serving our community.

• Support: Fundraising efforts to aid local Volunteer Fire and EMS services.
• Recruitment: Helping recruit new members to maintain essential services.
• Anniversary: Celebrating 175 years of community service.
• Collaboration: Supporting mutual aid partners in Fire & EMS services.

These volunteer organizations dedicate the majority of their time to responding to calls, training their members, and managing the organizations - keeping our communities safe. Fundraising often takes a back seat to other priorities and recruiting new members continues to be challenging. Membership and volunteerism are the lifeblood of their success.

• 5K Run start: 9:00am
• 5K Walk start: 9:00am - line up behind runners
• Kid's 100 yard dash: 10:00am

100 yard dash - children ages 8 and under. Age is a general guideline – child’s athletic ability and parental guidance needed for the correct placement in this non-timed and non-competitive fun run.

• Kid's 100 yard dash: children ages 8 and under
• 5K Run: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over
• 5K Walk: no prizes, no age categories

• Overall fastest 5K: M/F
• Fastest Firefighter: M/F
• Fastest EMT: M/F
• Fastest Police Officer: M/F
• Top Age Group Finisher: M/F for various age categories
• Kid's 100-yard dash: all participants get medals!

All 5K runners and walkers will receive a custom event T shirt – size availability may vary – additional shirts available for purchase. We'll do our best to have size availability for everyone - but please know we may run out of popular sizes - late registrations may not get their first size choice.
