🌸 Event Registration

• Registration Deadline: Registration closes Friday at noon! No race day registrations!
• Celebrate: Join us for the Wyoming Valley Striders 50th Annual Cherry Blossom 5-Mile Run to commemorate 50 years as a running club!
• Date: April 27, 2025
• Location: Kirby Park, Wilkes Barre, PA

💵 Registration Fees

• Pre-entry fee: WVS members $20, non-members $25
• Price Increase: Effective 4/1/25: WVS members $25, non-members $30
• Emails: WVS members received the discount code on 12/2/24, 1/21/25 & 3/31/25.
• Membership Discount: Non-members can purchase a membership for $12 to receive a discount code for registration.

🏃‍♂️ Race Day Information

• Packet Pick-up: Begins at 7:30 am at the pavilion inside Kirby Park.
• Commemorative Item: The first 180 participants will receive a 50th anniversary umbrella!

⏰ Race Start

• Start Time: Race starts at 9:00 am. (Note: Earlier start time this year.)
• Timing: This race will be chip timed.

🛤️ Course Details

• Course Layout: The start and finish will be in the meadow area in Kirby Park.
• Surface: Fast and flat, out and back over macadam pavement on the dike.

⚠️ Important Notes

• Cancellation Policy: If the race is cancelled, 2025 pre-entries will be deferred to next year. No refunds will be given.

👥 Membership Information

• Open Participation: This race is open to anyone: you do not need to be a WVS member to run.
• Membership Purchase: Non-members can purchase a membership to receive a discount for registration.
• Entry Acceptance: Race directors reserve the right to accept or reject any entry.
