WVS Cherry Blossom 5 Mile Run

Event Overview

Join us on April 26, 2026 for our Cherry Blossom 5 Miler and celebrate spring in NEPA!

• Location: Kirby Park, timed perfectly with the stunning cherry trees in full bloom.

Registration

• Pre-entry fee: WVS members $20, non-members $25.
• Price increases: 4/1/26: WVS members $25, non-members $30.
• Discount codes: WVS members were emailed the discount code in the November and February newsletters. (Our race discount codes are for current members of the WVS and should not be shared.)
• Membership purchase: Non-members can purchase for $12 a membership in the store and receive an email reply with the race discount code to use during race registration.

• Registration Process: Runners must pre-register online. Race day entries will not be accepted.
• Registration closes: Online registration will close Friday, April 24, 2026 at noon.
• Refund Policy: Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Race Day

• Packet Pick-Up: Pre-entry packet pick-up will begin at 7:30 am at the pavilion inside Kirby Park.
• Commemorative Item: The first 200 participants will receive a commemorative running cap.

Race Start

• Start Time: Race starts at 9:00 am.
• Timing: This race will be chip timed.

Course Details

• Run Course: The start and finish of the run will be in the meadow area in Kirby Park, then fast and flat, out and back over a macadam pavement on the dike.

Cancellation Note

• If the race is cancelled due to any directives by the hosted facility, or the WVS, 2026 pre-entries will be deferred to next year. No refunds will be given.

General Information

• This race is open to anyone. You do not need to be a WVS member to run. You can however become a member or renew your membership during the checkout process.
• Membership Fee: Online memberships are $12 per year. Membership cards are sent within a week of receipt or given race day if received 14 days prior to event or not yet expired.
• Entry Acceptance: The race directors reserve the right to accept or reject any entry.
