Independence Day Festival

🇺🇸 Event Overview

• Location: The event will start and finish at the Louis Schiavo City View Park, Hazleton.
• Course: The course will consist of an out and back, connecting the Aurther Gardner Hwy to the Hazleton Rails to Trails.

⏰ Race Details

• Start Time: The official Gun Start will be at 8:30 a.m. for the 5K & 10K Races.
• Awards: Gun time will be used for overall awards / Chip time will be used for age group awards.
• Finisher's Perks: All participants will receive a finishers medal, race t-shirt, and goody bag.

🏅 Age Groups and Awards

• Awards: 5K/10K overall male and female awards for first place.
• Medals: Medals will be awarded to MALE and FEMALE runners in 20-year age groups. (19 & U, 20-39, 40-59, 60+)

👟 Virtual Race Option

• Participation: Want to support our cause but can't make it on race day? We have a virtual option for all distances.
• Race Anytime: Race on your own course, on your own time between Friday, July 4th, and Sunday, July 6th.
• How to Submit: Submit your time electronically and you will be scored in a special division of any of these 4 events: 10K, 5K, or 1 Mile Family Walk.

💙 Charity Support

• Proceeds: 100% of the proceeds will be donated to support the local Autism Community, Youth Sports, Cancer Research, and Disabled Veterans.
