🏃‍♂️ The 36th Annual Kenneth Dolan Memorial 5k Run

Sunday, June 1, 2025 - Prospect Park Brooklyn, New York. All runners are welcome to join us for the free after party featuring activities for the family, food, drinks and music!

🎉 Fundraiser Event

Kenneth Dolan Memorial Run Fundraiser to be held at Farrell's Bar, 215 Prospect Park W, Brooklyn, NY 11215, on Friday, May 9th at 6:30pm.

💭 A Special Thought

• Kenny's Life: Kenny Dolan was alive for a brief 23 years.
• Impact: He not only brought a tremendous amount of joy to a great number of people but more importantly, he taught them how to laugh, love, and have fun.
• Tragic Loss: Tragically, on March 14, 1990, Kenny passed away as a result of an automobile accident.
• Memorial Fund: The Kenny Dolan Memorial Fund at Iona University has been established to assist a student in need of financial support for his or her education.

🏁 Course Details

• Start/Finish: Start and finish at Bartel Pritchard Square (15th Street & Prospect Park West).
• Time: 10 a.m. (rain or shine) - Pee Wee races to follow.

🏆 Awards

• Overall Winners: Top Five Male and Female Overall - Cash Prizes of $150, $100, $50, $50 and $50.
• Age Groups: Top five in each age group.
• No Duplication: NO DUPLICATION OF AWARDS.

🔖 Categories

• Age Groups: 8 and under, 9-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+, racewalkers.
• Special Categories: First Iona University Graduate/Undergraduate Male and Female.
• Service Divisions: First NYPD, FDNY, SDNY, Teacher and Clydesdale Divisions, Male and Female.

👥 Teams

• Team Awards: Top Three Male & Female Teams (3-person teams).
• Masters’ Team: Top Masters’ Team Male and Female.
• Award Criteria: Lowest combined three-person times.

👶 Pee Wee Fun Run

• Medals: All Pee Wee competitors will receive a medal.
• Distances: 100 yard run – 4 and under, 220 yard run – 8 and under, 440 yard run – 10 and under, 440 yard run – 12 and under.
• Team Affiliation: To be considered for team awards, affiliation must be declared on entry form.

• Location: Holy Name of Jesus Church School Yard, Brooklyn, New York 11215.
• Timing: Saturday, May 31, 4 – 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 1, 8 - 9:45 a.m.

🍽️ Post Race Awards & Refreshments

Post race awards and refreshments will take place at Holy Name Church School Yard.

💰 Entry Fee

• 5k: Before April 15 - $35, Before May 15 - $40, Online Entries Close May 30 - $45.
• Pee Wee: Before April 15 - $6, Before May 15 - $8, Entries Close May 30 - $10.

• By Car: LIE to BQE to Prospect Expressway – 10th Avenue Exit make right at light then next two rights onto Prospect Park West. Holy Name Church is located between Windsor Place and Prospect Avenue on Prospect Park West. Registration is in the school basement.
• By Bus: Holy Name Church stop is at the end of the B68 as well as along the B67 line.
• By Train: F train to 15th Street/Prospect Park Station. Holy Name Church is located on Prospect Park West between Windsor Place and Prospect Avenue.
