About this race
🏃♀️ Event Overview
We will meet at Washington-Liberty high school track and go from there. Routes will be sent the Sunday before a Monday meet-up.
📅 Program Details
- Schedule: Mondays at 5:30pm.
- Duration: Starting April 21st and wrapping up on June 16th (no meeting on Memorial Day).
- Age Requirement: Kids ages 10 & over may run without a parent/guardian, though they must stick with at least one adult along the route: if your child is under 10, I would ask that you come along.
- Pace: Relaxed conversation pace - Coach Kate will maintain an easy jog to allow as many kids as possible to stay with the group.
👨👩👧👦 Participation Information
- Parents: Run along for free - you don't need to register and run at your own risk.
- Group Type: This is a fun run group, not competitive.
- Snack: The kids will all receive a small snack/treat at the end of each run - if you prefer your child not have that, please let Kate know.
- Communication: Coach Kate will send out weekly emails with tips and tricks but we won’t be doing drills and/or structured speed work for this program.
🏅 Finishing Touches
- Medals: All youth runners will receive a medal at the end of the program!
- Check In: Please check in with Coach Kate at the end of every run.
- Weather Policy: Should the weather prevent us from meeting, Coach Kate will do her best to schedule a make-up session.
