Charcoal Challenge 5k Fun Run

🏞️ Event Overview

The Friends of Pine Grove Furnace are pleased to hold the Charcoal Challenge 5k Fun Run on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Pine Grove Furnace State Park.

🎯 Fundraiser Purpose

• Beneficiary: Friends of Pine Grove Furnace for the benefit of our 501(c)(3) non-profit.
• Support: All proceeds support recreation, education and conservation at Pine Grove Furnace State Park.
• Fun Run: This is a "Fun Run" that shows off our beautiful State Park using several park trails and roads.
• Participation: All runners or walkers will receive participation prizes and free snacks/hydration.

📝 Registration Details

• Online Registration: Ends on June 12 at 5 PM.
• On-Site Registration: Available the morning of the event.
• Fee: $25: free for ages 12 years and under.
• T-shirts: $20 for adult sizes, $15 for youth sizes, and only available for registrations received by 5 PM on May 21.

⌚ Event Day Information

• Same-Day Registration: Opens at 8:00 AM on June 13.
• Payment: Cash or check only, please.
• Start Line: Runners/walkers must be at the start line by 8:50 AM for the 9:00 AM start.
• Parking: Allow 5-10 minutes to get from parking at Fuller Lake to the registration area at the old stone furnace stack.
