🗓️Event Details

Welcome to the second annual Down the Stretch Track Fest at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA on May 24. We are moving the meet from a Friday to a Saturday - so we can add more heats of the open mile & 5000 plus the 4x800m relay to amp up the fun! You can expect a high-energy atmosphere with music all night, food trucks, Aslin beer, and announcers with a mix of community and pro races. Come grab a PR in the 800, mile or 5000, and then sit back and watch an incredible night of racing under the stars.

🏆Participation Information

• Sanctioning: USATF and World Athletics sanctioned.
• Eligibility: Open to all runners who can maintain a 10:00 pace or faster.
• Age: Open to runners of all ages & abilities.
• Heats: Seeded based on qualifying times (high school/college runners can run in pro heats).

🍺Special Offers

• Beer: Complementary beer with entry.
• Prize Money: Prize money for the Webb Mile: $350 / $100 / $50.
• Youth Mile: Free for youth (13 & under).
• Weather Policy: In case of inclement weather, races will be delayed until otherwise impossible.

🕒Race Schedule

• 5:10 PM: Open Mile (10:00 cutoff)
• 6:10 PM: Free Youth Mile (15:00 cutoff)
• 6:25 PM: Open 5000 (30:00 cutoff)
• 7:50 PM: 4x800 Relay (12:00 / 3:00 avg per leg cutoff)
• 8:35 PM: Select 5k
• 9:20 PM: Webb Mile
• 9:35 PM: Select 10k

Schedule subject to change. Youth mile - 13 & under (boys & girls combined). Open races are men's, women's and nonbinary combined. Select heats & Webb Mile are women's followed by men's.
