Red Fern Festival 5k

🌟 Event Announcement

• Date: April 25-26
• Host: Tahlequah Main Street will host the 17th annual Red Fern Festival.
• Celebration: The festival celebrates the “Where the Red Fern Grows” Novel set in the Ozark hills in and around Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
• Activities: The festival spans seven blocks and hosts over 150 arts and crafts vendors and gourmet food trucks, along with inflatables, petting zoos, and live music.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Return: This year we are excited to announce the return of the Red Fern Festival 5k.
• History: This will be the 3rd running of the Red Fern Run, and with only a little luck this will be the best one ever!
• Weather Policy: If this event is called off due to weather, we do not have a reschedule option and it will become a virtual run.
• Start Time: The run will start at 6:30 PM on Friday evening at the heart of the festival at Norris Park.

🎶 Race Experience

• Finish Line: Runners will come across the finish line being surrounded by nearby food trucks and live music on the festival main stage.
• Enjoyment: Come sign up and run, eat, and be entertained at the Red Fern Festival 5k on April 25th!
• Dog-Friendly: This social run encourages running with dogs, as they play an important role in the Red Fern Festival.
• Timing: For more serious runners, this will be a chip-timed race by I:40 Race Service.

🏅 Awards

• Medals: We will award medals to the top 3 in every 5 year M/F Age Groups.

• Location: Covered Pavilion just south of Norris Park
• Events: 5k and Fun Run
• Registration Open: 5:30 PM
• Start Times: Both the 5k and Fun Run will start at 6:30 PM

💵 Registration Fees

• Early Bird Registration: Fun Run for $25, 5k for $30 (Before April 8th)
• Full Price Registration: Fun Run for $30, 5k for $35 (After April 8th to Race Day)

👕 T-Shirt Information

• Guarantee: Must register by April 8th to get a guaranteed shirt.
• Availability: All registrations after April 8th will receive shirts on a first come, first serve basis.
