Red Fern Festival 5k

Event Overview

• Date: April 24-25
• Location: 400 N Muskogee Ave, Tahlequah, OK
• Festival: Celebrates the “Where the Red Fern Grows” novel
• Activities: Over 150 arts and crafts vendors, gourmet food trucks, inflatables, petting zoos, and live music

Race Course

• New Course: Starts and finishes at NSU Letters sign at the corner of Goingsnake, Muskogee, and Smith
• Weather: Rain or shine event: may become a virtual run if conditions are severe
• Start Time: 6:30 PM on Friday evening, April 24th
• Finish Line: Just a few blocks from food trucks and live music at Norris Park

Running Details

• Social Run: Encourages running with dogs, highlighting their role in the festival
• Timing: Chip timed race by I:40 Race Service for serious runners
• Finishers Medals: Awarded to all 5k participants
• Trophies: For the top 3 male and female finishers

• Location: NSU Letters sign at campus entrance (Corner of Goingsnake, Muskogee, and Smith)
• Events: 5k and Fun Run
• Registration Open: 5:30 PM
• Start Times: Both the 5k and Fun Run will start at 6:30 PM

Registration Fees

• Early Bird Fees: Fun Run for $25, 5k for $30 (before April 7th)
• Full Price Fees: Fun Run for $30, 5k for $35 (after April 7th to Race Day)
• T-shirt: Guaranteed shirt if registered by April 7th
• Shirt Availability: Post-April 7th registrations will be first come, first serve
