Dog Days Run Walk

🐾 Event Overview

Run or Walk the Dogs Days 5 mile, 5 K, or 2 mile event on Saturday, June 14, 2025! This family-friendly event supports Hub City Service Dogs, a nonprofit organization based in Hattiesburg, MS, dedicated to training service dogs for adults and children with medical disabilities.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Date and Time: Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 7:30 a.m.
• Location: Kamper Park (parking lot next to the Hattiesburg Zoo Pavilion), Hattiesburg, MS.
• Start and Finish: All routes will start and finish at Kamper Park.
• Course: Scenic Avenues of Hattiesburg with shaded paths.

🐶 Canine Participation

• Health Requirement: Ensure your pup is in good health and properly conditioned.
• Pup-Friendly Routes: 2 mile and 5K routes are suitable for dogs.
• Water Stations: Provided for both runners and dogs.
• Leash Policy: Dogs must be vaccinated and on fixed leashes (no retractable leashes).

🥳 Post-Race Festivities

• Finish Line Festival: Celebrate with vendors, refreshments, entertainment, and door prizes.
• Breakfast: Enjoy breakfast by Topher's.
• Run-by Dog Pageant: Judged by local celebrities along the course.
• Custom Medals: All racers receive a finisher medal: t-shirts available for early registration.

🏅 Awards and Recognition

• Finisher Medals: All participants receive a Limited Edition custom finisher medal.
• Top Ten "Big Dogs": Prizes for the fastest ten Male and Female finishers in respective categories.
• Run-by Dog Pageant Awards: Categories include Coolest Dog, Best Dressed, and more.
• Prizes for Pageant: Awards for 'Best Parent/Pooch Pair,' 'Tiny Tot,' and more.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Friday: 4:30-7:00 pm at Keg and Barrel, 1315 Hardy Street.
• Saturday: 6:15 - 7:15 am at Kamper Park near the start line.
