Dog Days Run Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Run or Walk the Dogs Days 5 mile, 5 K, or 2 mile event on Saturday, June 14, 2025! This family-friendly event supports Hub City Service Dogs, a nonprofit organization based in Hattiesburg, MS, dedicated to training service dogs for adults and children with medical disabilities.

🌳 Race Details

• Start Location: Kamper Park (parking lot next to the Hattiesburg Zoo Pavilion).
• Event Time: All routes will start at 7:30 a.m.
• Routes: Participants can choose to run or walk the 5 mile, 5K, or 2 mile distances with or without their dogs.
• Scenic Route: The races guide participants through the charming Avenues of Hattiesburg.

🐶 Canine Participants

• Health Check: Ensure your pup is in good health and properly conditioned.
• Pup-Friendly Routes: The 2 mile and 5K routes are suitable for dogs, with water stations provided.
• Leash Requirement: All dogs must be leashed with fixed leashes: no retractable leashes allowed.
• Safety First: Watch for your dog's comfort and potential overheating during the race.

🎉 Finish Line Festival

• Breakfast: Enjoy breakfast by Topher's at the event.
• Run-by Dog Pageant: Participate in the Run-by Dog Pageant judged by local celebrities.
• Custom Medals: All racers receive a limited edition finisher medal.
• T-Shirt: Participants registered before the cutoff date will receive an event t-shirt.

🏆 Prizes and Awards

• Finisher Medals: All participants who finish will receive a Limited Edition custom finisher medal.
• TOP TEN "BIG DOGS": Awards will be given to the top finishers in different categories.
• Pageant Categories: Awards for Coolest Dog, Best Dressed, Super Dog, and more!
• Duration: Participants are encouraged to stay for the Finish Line Festival.

📅 Packet Pickup

• Friday: 4:00-6:00pm at Keg and Barrel, 1315 Hardy Street.
• Saturday: 6:00-7:00am at Kamper Park near the start line.
