Entrance Policy for Non-Binary and Trans Athletes
- Registration Options: Participants can select from Male, Female, or Non-Binary during registration.
- Respect for Identity: We respect all gender identities and participants can register in the category that aligns with their identity.
- Non-discrimination: Trans and non-binary runners will not be questioned or challenged on their gender identity.
Deferral & Transfer Options
- Pregnancy Deferral: Registered runners who are pregnant or within 12 months postpartum may defer their entry to the following year or another future edition of the race.
- Extended Deferral: Deferrals may be used anytime within 2 years of the original race date.
- Bib Transfer: If deferral isn’t desired, runners may transfer their bib to another participant (following standard transfer guidelines).
Results & Timing
- Visibility: Non-binary athletes will appear in the overall standings and in their selected gender category, if applicable.
- Results Accuracy: Results will reflect the participant’s chosen gender identity without changes without consent.
Awards
- Award Eligibility: Non-binary runners will be eligible for place awards in their own category.
- Choice of Competition: They may choose to compete in the category in which they most closely identify.
