Our 5k run is known as 'the WORLD'S EASIEST 5k', meaning you have to finish in the middle to win!
🏆 Awards Categories
- Average Joe & Average Jane: Male and female middle finishers will receive an exclusive Average Joe Run Champion Jersey.
- Overall Winners: Awards are handed out to the top 3 finishers for male and female.
- Age Group Winners: Awards are for the top 2 and Average Joe & Average Jane finishers of their age group.
🎁 Participant Perks
- Race Packet: All participants will receive an Average Joe Run 5k Race Packet that includes a Race Bib, Tshirt, Custom Finisher Medal, and Race Certificate.
- Start Position: Runners should start in the front and walkers in the middle/back to ensure participants are grouped with similar pacing.
- Dogs: Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted at the AJR 5k events for participant safety.
- Strollers: Strollers are welcomed at our events.
🍩 Event Features
- Refreshments: Enjoy DONUTS, DONUTS, and more DONUTS throughout the event.
- Water Station: We will provide a water station at the mid-point of the 5k course.
- Beverages: Coffee and water will be available during the event.
- Restrooms: Facilities will be available at the start/finish line.
🗓️ Event Schedule
- Race Day Location: JOHN PRINCE PARK
- 6:30am: Race Registration and Packet Pickup
- 6:45am: Music and entertainment begin
- 7:10am: Warm-up hosted by fitness instructor
- 7:25am: Announcements and National Anthem
- 7:30am: Average Joe Run 5k Start
- 8:40am: Award Ceremony
