Run Your Mutt 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk/Run

🐾 Event Overview

Monroe County Friends of Animals (MCFA) is sponsoring their second annual 5K and 1-mile walk/run. MCFA is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing for and continuously improving the health, happiness, and fortune of homeless and abandoned dogs and cats in Monroe County.

Join us for this family friendly event that brings together animal lovers, runners, walkers, and community members to support this very worthy cause.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Event Type: 5K run or one mile walk/run with your dog on a paved path around the lake at Kefauver Park in Madisonville.
• Dog Participation: Dogs are encouraged, but not required to participate!
• Event Timing: Provided by East Coast Adventures.
• Awards: Winner medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers.

👕 Participant Perks

• Event T-shirt: All participants will receive an event T-shirt and a SWAG bag.
• Special Recognition: If you adopted your dog from Monroe County Animal Shelter you will receive a special Alumni Bandana for your dog.

🕒 Schedule

• Packet Pick-up: Begins at 7:30 am.
• 5K Start Time: 9:00 am.
• 1-Mile Walk/Run Start Time: Starts at 9:30 am.
• Registration Notice: Registrations received after 8/29/2025 will not receive an event shirt.
