On October 11, 2025, get ready to race in the 54th Annual Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon and 10K AND NEW THIS YEAR A 5K!

PACKET PICK-UP IS AT THE NORTH ELBA HORSE SHOWGROUNDS ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10 FROM 4-7PM AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11 FROM 6-7:30AM.

🌳 Event Benefits

• Community Focus: This event is one of the Lake Placid region's only not-for-profit running/walking events. The event aims to raise funds to support a community-wide wellness initiative and support local youth programming.
• Scenic Setting: This event starts and finishes at the North Elba Horse Showgrounds surrounded by nature and the beauty of the high peaks. Our race continues to grow, anticipating over 650 participants in 2025.
• Race Route: The race route for the Half Marathon and 10K encompasses two moderate hills, one at the start and one towards the end.
• Course Closure: The start time for the Half Marathon and 10K is 8:00 a.m., with the course closing at noon.

🏅 Awards and Details

• Awards: For Half Marathon & 10K distances, awards for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and top three age groups including 19 and under: 20-29: 30-39: 40-49: 50-59: 60-69 and over 70.
• New Addition: NEW THIS YEAR, a 5K! Whether you're walking the beautiful, scenic route with your children or family members while your friends and loved ones race in our Half Marathon and 10K, or you're signing up to run your best 5K of the season...we have something for everyone!
• 5K Start Time: The start time for the 5K is 8:15am.
