Course Details

• Half Mile Fun Run: An out and back on the greenway.
• 5K Course: Starts at Overton, turning southwest on West Park, with various turnarounds and routes through the Greenway.
• Finish Line: The finish line is located beside the nearest pole on the breezeway at Overton.
• Course Map: Please refer to the course map below for detailed navigation.

Participant Perks

• Shirts: Dry Fit T-shirts for all runners and walkers!
• Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female, plus top 3 in each age group for the 5K.
• Fun Run Awards: Top 3 Overall in the Fun Run.
• Ice Cream Reward: Free ice cream for all participants, with purchase options for spectators.

Additional Information

• Door Prizes: $25 gift certificates from Dick's Sporting Goods & more!
• Donate Used Shoes: Bring your old shoes for donation to Rowan Helping Ministries.
• Finish Line Video: Individual videos of runners available online after the race.
• Race-Day Registration: $35 for the 5K & $10 for the Fun Run, check-in from 7:30 a.m. - 8:25 a.m. at Overton Elementary School.

Race Director

Wayne Crowder, a renowned runner in North Carolina, will once again serve as race director and will be present for photo opportunities.

• Charitable Contribution: Proceeds benefit Relay for Life and shoe donations support Rowan Helping Ministries.
