RACE OPTIONS

• 5 Mile Race: Classic race for seasoned runners
• 5K Race: Popular distance for all levels
• Middle School Cup: Engaging 5K for middle school participants
• Community Teams: Teams running in honor/memory of loved ones or for local causes

STARTING TIMES AND LOCATIONS

• 5 Mile Race: Starts at 8:30 a.m. Meet at the top of Columbus Blvd
• 5K Races: Starts at 8:45 a.m. Meet at the top of Columbus Blvd.
• 2-Mile Health Walk: Starts at 8:30 a.m. Meet in front of the YMCA
• Little Fritter Fun Runs: Starts around 10:00 a.m. Meet at the Town Green.

FOR A GREAT CAUSE

• Support: All proceeds benefit individuals and families in need
• Programs: Financial aid and scholarships to YMCA programs
• Accountability: Y is committed to being a good steward of funds
• Community Impact: Strengthening our local community

T-SHIRTS

• First 750: Specially designed t-shirts for registrations in various races
• First 250: T-shirts for Little Fritter Fun Runs
• First 150: T-shirts for Color Fun Run
• Distribution: Given out on a first-come, first-served basis at packet pick-up

AWARDS AND PRIZES

• Top Finishers: Medals for top three male and female winners
• Age Categories: Medals for specific age categories
• Memorial Awards: Special awards for top male and female Southington finishers
• Course Records: $200 prize for setting new records

Y CUP 1-MILE RACE

• Eligibility: 4th and 5th graders encouraged to participate
• Registration: Day of race registration unavailable
• Trophy: Opportunity to win the Y Cup Trophy
• Medals: Awarded to top participants from Southington and beyond

MIDDLE SCHOOL CUP 5K

• Participants: Open to 6th, 7th, 8th grades
• Medals: Top 15 boys and girls will receive medals
• Team Competition: Points earned towards the Middle School Cup
• Participation: Open to students from outside Southington

2 MILE HEALTH WALK

• Sponsored by: Hartford Healthcare
• Course: Flat walk starting at the Y
• Proceeds: Support chronic diseases programs
• Open to All: All ages welcome!

LITTLE FRITTER FUN RUNS

• Age Group: Designed for children ages 2 to 7
• Variety: Options ranging from 50 yards to two laps around Town Green
• Timing: Begins at conclusion of the 5K/5 Mile events
• Participation Medal: One medal per participant

COMMUNITY TEAMS

• Team SMSAA: Southington Middle School Athletic Association
• Team Tyler: In honor of Tyler Chamberland
• Team Ralph: In honor of Ralph Mann
• Cure Team: Raising funds to support childhood cancer

AMAZING REFRESHMENTS

• Post-Race Treats: Best refreshments, thanks to generous sponsors
• Enjoy: Satisfying options to rejuvenate after the race

• Location: Southington Community YMCA, 29 High Street
• Dates:
  • Friday, October 2nd from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 4th from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
• T-Shirt Distribution: As per registration order
• Size Availability: First-come, first-served basis
