Race Overview

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Indiana University Bloomington is proud to sponsor the 3rd Kimberly Geeslin Memorial 5K Run/Walk in memory of our friend, mentor, educator, and colleague. We hope you can join us!

Support for a Cause

This year, the race is being run in support of Monroe County Habitat for Humanity Women+: Build! Kim was an ardent supporter of and annual builder at Women+: Build. All proceeds from this run will go directly to Women+: Build in Kim's honor.

Race Day Info

• Location: The race will take place at Switchyard Park, with check-in at the picnic shelter next to the playground.
• Check-in: Race Day registration and check-in will start at 8:00am. Please arrive early to ensure an on-time start at 9:00am.
• Weather Policy: We will run rain or shine but will cancel for thunderstorms or other hazardous weather.
• Extras: Strollers are welcome as are dogs on a 6-foot (or less) leash.

Volunteer Opportunities

We will need volunteers for various tasks on race day. Some volunteer tasks will require during-race commitment: others will occur pre- or post-race and still allow race participation. Volunteers can opt for a free race t-shirt or free race registration for themselves.
