Event Overview

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Indiana University Bloomington is proud to sponsor the 3rd Kimberly Geeslin Memorial 5K Run/Walk in memory of our friend, mentor, educator, and colleague. We hope you can join us!

Race Beneficiary

• Support: Monroe County Habitat for Humanity Women+: Build!
• In Honor: Kim was an ardent supporter of and annual builder at Women+: Build.
• Proceeds: All proceeds from this run will go directly to Women+: Build in Kim':s honor.

Race Day Info

• Date: 2026-05-03
• Location: Switchyard Park, with check-in at the picnic shelter next to the playground.
• Check-in: Starts at 8:00am. Please arrive early for an on-time start at 9:00am.
• Weather Policy: We will run rain or shine but will cancel for thunderstorms or other hazardous weather.

Additional Information

• Strollers: Welcome, as are dogs on 6 foot (or less) leash.

Volunteer Opportunities

We will need volunteers for various tasks on race day. Some volunteer tasks will require during-race commitment: others will occur pre- or post-race and still allow race participation.
