🎄 2025 PVTC Christmas Caper 5K and 10K
Join us on December 20, 2025, at 972 Ohio Drive SW, Washington, DC for a festive race experience!
🗓️ Key Dates
- Registration Closes: On-line registration closes on Thursday, December 19, at 12:00 noon.
- Race-Day Packet Pickup: On-site packet pickup is open from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM.
- No Registration: No race-day registration available.
🏃♂️ Course Information
- Course Type: Flat – walker- and wheelchair-friendly – with one or two out-and-back segments on paved roads.
- Parking: Ample and free at East Potomac Park Golf Course, south of Jefferson Memorial.
- Race Size: About 100 participants in each race, 5K and 10K. Must finish by 9:30 AM. Only one race per person.
🏁 Race Start Times
- 5K Race: Starts at 8:00 AM. Gather at start/finish banner about 200 feet south of entrance: run south on east side of Ohio Drive, right around Hains Point, and complete the course.
- 10K Race: Starts at 8:10 AM. Gather about 200 feet north of start/finish banner: run the 5K course twice with a turnaround near the finish line banner.
🏆 Awards
- Prizes: Christmas ornaments for the top 3 in each race in 10-year age groups (men and women), plus racewalkers.
🥤 Post-Race Refreshments

- November 22 at East Potomac Park -- Cranberry Crawl 5K and 10K.
- December 20 at East Potomac Park -- Christmas Caper 5K and 10K.
