🏊‍♂️ Huntersville Sprint Triathlon Individual & Relay

• Eligibility: Open to ages 13+
• Description: A pool swim triathlon with speedy flat and moderately hilly bike and run segments designed for both beginners and veterans alike.
• Facility: HFFA has a large 50m pool, a separate warmup pool, and indoor bathrooms for participants and spectators.
• Swag: All athletes will receive a swim cap along with swag items at packet pick up.

🌊 Swim Segment

• Distance: 400 yds
• Format: Participants will snake through the lanes from one end of the pool to the other.
• Start Times: Athletes sent off every 10 seconds by BIB number: first swimmer starts at 7AM.
• Updates: Swim start times will be posted online Saturday, August 23 by 6 PM.

🚴 Bike Segment

• Distance: 20K
• Course: One-loop moderately hilly bike course.
• Traffic: Roads are mostly two-lane and should have light vehicular traffic on race morning.

🏃 Run Segment

• Distance: 5K
• Course: An out-and-back run on roads.

👶 Huntersville Sprint Youth TRI

• Eligibility: Open to ages 7-15
• Description: A pool swim triathlon with short bike and run segments designed for youth.
• Swag: All athletes will receive a swim cap along with swag items at packet pick up.

🌊 Youth Swim Segment

• Distance: 100 yds
• Format: Participants will snake through the lanes from one end of the pool to the other.
• Start Times: First swimmer begins at 9AM: athletes sent off every 10 seconds by BIB number.
• Updates: Swim start times will be posted online Saturday, August 23 by 6 PM.

🚲 Youth Bike Segment

• Distance: 2 miles
• Course: Out-and-back two-loop course design on Verhoeff Drive.

🏃‍♀️ Youth Run Segment

• Distance: 1 mile
• Course: An out-and-back on Verhoeff Drive.
