- Location: Lake Sylvia Day Use Area, Perryville AR
Race Options
- Distance: 20-ish miles for the Catsmacker, 12-ish miles for the Kitty Run option. You can choose your distance on the day of the event.
- Start/Finish Area: The start is at the Lake Sylvia Day Use area (where you would go if you went swimming in the lake). NOT at Camp Ouachita.
Cost
- Donation-based: This is a donation-based run to cover costs for permits, insurance, aid station supplies, and other logistics.
- Suggested Donation: $20. Donations are non-refundable, and proceeds will be donated to the non-profit AURA.
- Online Payment: You can make an online payment here, or a cash/check donation on race day.
Driving & Parking Directions
- Location: Find Williams Junction, AR on most maps: about 30 miles west of Little Rock on Hwy 10.
- Parking: Limited in the Lake Sylvia Day Use Area. Please carpool if possible!
- Parking Restrictions: No parking on the east side of Hwy 324. Follow instructions from signs and volunteers.
Course Description
- Terrain: The course will utilize Forest Service roads and a small portion of the Ouachita Trail. Combination of pavement, gravel, and single/double track trail.
- Course Marking: Signs, colored ribbon flagging, and flour arrows drawn on the ground.
- Maps: Participants should print off maps if unsure of the course or unfamiliar with the area.

Arkansas Ultra Trail Series
- Event Type: A no-UTS-points fun run and a season-closer celebration.
- Awards Ceremony: 2025-2026 UTS awards will be held after the run with a cookout-style lunch.
Runner Safety and Other Details
- Support Stations: At least 2 aid stations for the Catsmacker, and 1 for the Kitty Run.
- Dog Policy: Dogs are allowed on a leash. Be mindful of other runners.
- Cell Phone: It's advisable to carry a cell phone. There may be limited service.
Early Start
- Cut-off: 6 hours for the full Catsmacker, approximately 16:30ish pace.
- Early Start Time: 6:00am option available for those needing more time.
- Aid Stations: Not available for early starters: they must be self-sufficient.
