Foy's to Blacktail Trail Marathon

Event Overview

• Date: June 21, 2026
• Location: Foy's Lake Road, Kalispell, MT
• Sign ups: Maximum 100 sign ups allowed, so sign up soon!
• Starting Point: Herron Park at 5:30 a.m.

Race Day Schedule

• Bib Assignment: Final bib assignment and pre-race meeting starts at 5:45 a.m.
• Bus Departure: Busses leave promptly at 6 a.m. to take racers to the start.
• Parking: No parking at the start of the race.

Important Safety Information

• Bear Spray: Remember to bring your bear spray: it’s mandatory as there is a risk of running into wildlife.
• Wildlife Caution: Be aware of bears and mountain lions that can become aggressive.
• Pacing Requirement: You need to maintain an average pace of >3 mph to reach the Emmons Saddle aid station by the 12 p.m. cutoff.
• Previous Runner Success: Even the slowest runners have made it under this cutoff in past races.

• Annual Fundraiser: This race supports building and maintaining trails in the 40+ mile FTBT system.
• New Trail Development: Funds help create new trails on Emmons Ridge south to Blacktail Mountain.
