🕒 Time & Place

• 8M race: Starts at 8:00 am.
• Kids Race: Starts at 7:30 am.
• Location: 299 Old Edgemoor Drive near Oak Ridge TN.

🏃‍♂️ Course Description

• Distance: This 8 mile course.
• Terrain: Some climbing early with good flow through Haw Ridge Park.
• Scenery: Quite a bit along the lake.
• Finish: Returns to the finish line.

👶 Kids Trail Run

• Course: Almost all on trail, almost exactly a mile.
• Fun: Way more than a mile's worth of fun!
• Feedback: Those who ran it last year can attest, it’s a really good course.

💰 Registration and Fees

• Refunds: No refunds and no bib transfers.
• Fees: Registration fees apply, KTC member discount accepted.

🏆 TTT Series Awards

• Entries: Top 3 in each division will receive free race entries.
• Prize Drawing: Two lucky runners get a pair of shoes, thanks to Runners Market.
• Awards Ceremony: Presented at the annual KTC Holiday Party in December.
• Qualification: Must be a KTC member and volunteer twice during the race season.

⚠️ Course Etiquette

• Disqualification: We reserve the right to disqualify anyone who exhibits unsportsmanlike conduct or is abusive to volunteers.
• Restrictions: No headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades or pets on the course.

🛡️ Safety

• Aid Station: One aid station set up halfway through the race at a lakeside picnic table.
• Hydration: Limited supply of small cups, please carry your own hydration container.
• Medication: Carry your own medication if sensitive to insect stings or bites.
• Training: Strongly recommend pre-race training offroad.

⚠️ Safety Policy Clarification

• Age Restriction: Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the adult race.
• Pace Enforcement: An 18:00/mile minimum pace will be enforced.
• Course Management: A sweeper will be present to monitor pace compliance.

🎟️ Don't Take a Bib if You're Not Running

• Safety Concern: If you take a bib, we think you’re running.
• Drop Out Protocol: Please inform a race official if you drop out of the race.
• Bib Care: Don't crunch, fold, or tear the bib.
