Oil Creek 5 & 13 Stacked Trail Races

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

This unique trail race starts and finishes at Drake Well Museum and Park in Titusville, PA utilizing the Gerard Hiking Trail in Oil Creek State Park.

All proceeds from the event benefit Friends of Drake Well, Inc., the non-profit organization which partners with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission in the administration of Drake Well Museum and Park. https://www.drakewell.org/about-us/friends-of-drake-well

🚦 Race Format

• Exciting twist: The 5 and 13 mile “Stacked” Trail Races offer runners the possibility of running one or both races consecutively, with a 90-minute staggered start.
• Finisher's awards: There will be awards for each race distance and additional awards for completing both races with the quickest “stacked” finish time.
• Strict cutoff: A 90-minute cutoff for 5-mile runners attempting both races is enforced.
• Bring your A game: Be prepared for a challenging but rewarding race experience!

💰 Race Fees

• 5 mile Race: $50 until March 15th, $55 until April 12th, $65 until race day. Must be age 13 by race day.
• 13 mile Race: $60 until March 15th, $65 until April 12th, $75 until race day. Must be age 16 by race day.
• Stacked Race (5 + 13): $105 until March 15th, $110 until April 12th, $120 until race day. Must be age 16 by race day.
• 2 Mile Youth Race: $10, any child may enter but must be no older than 12 by race day.

👕 Race T-Shirts

Race t-shirts are included with registration. Each shirt features a new, unique design on soft tri-blend shirts.

📅 Packet Pickup and Registration

• 5 miler or both races: Check in at 6:00-6:45 am on May 16th, 2026 at Drake Well Museum parking lot.
• 13 miler: Check in between 7:00-8:15 am on Saturday May 16th, 2026 at Drake Well Museum parking lot.
• Youth 2 miler registration: From 8:30 until 9:30 am at the train station.
• Optional pre-race pickup: On May 15th from 5:00-8:00 at Titusville Ironworks Taphouse.

⏰ Start Times

• 5 mile race: Starts at 7:00 am
• 13 mile race: Starts at 8:30 am
• Youth 2 mile race: Starts at 9:30 am
• All races: Must finish by 1:30 pm when the course closes.

🏆 Awards

• Finisher’s Medal: All racers will receive a custom logo bottle opener as well!
• Additional award: Complete both races within the cutoff to receive a unique finisher's hat.
• Top finishers: One male and one female from each race will receive unique additional awards.
• Record Breaker: $50 prize for breaking the official standing course record.

🥗 Post Race

Post race refreshments and food will be provided to all participants.

5 Hour Time Limit for each individual race. No refunds! Proceeds benefit Friends of Drake Well Non-profit.

• Veterans and Active Duty: Get a $10 discount for this event.
• Teenagers: Receive a $20 youth discount for each race entry.

The 5-mile race starts at the Jersey Bridge and follows the Gerard Hiking Trail in Oil Creek State Park, while the 13-mile race includes additional scenic areas and connections. The 2-mile youth race operates on a safe, supervised path beginning at the Drake Well Train Station.
