🌲 Race Overview

• Location: Nestled in the Shawnee National Forest at Giant City State Park.
• Trail: Majorly utilizing the Red Cedar Trail.
• Excitement: New for 2025, a second loop doubles the distance and fun!
• Incentive: Teen and cross-country runners capped at a $40 entry fee.

🏃 Course Details

• Terrain: Mostly single track, with gravel road connectors, horse trails, and fields.
• Elevation: Over 1500 feet of gain in one loop.
• Water Crossings: Expect possible creek crossings, depending on rain.

🛑 Race Day Information

• Packet Pickup: 6-6:45 am on race day: early pickup 5-6 pm at Pavilion 5.
• Course Markings: Well-marked with ribbons, arrows, and directional signs.
• Open Course: Be aware of casual hikers and horseback riders: be courteous.
• Self-Sufficient: Be prepared to manage without aid stations for an hour or more.
