Sharps Ridge Rambler 7M, 4M, and Kids Trail Mile

TIME & PLACE

• Start Times: 7M and 4M races start at 8:00 am. (Kids Race will start at 7:30 am.)
• Location: Race will start and finish at Dr. Paul L. Kelley Volunteer Academy (formerly known as Lincoln Park Technology and Trade Center).
• Address: 535 Chickamauga Avenue, Knoxville TN 37917.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Four Mile Course:

• Route: Hanover Street into park.
• Turn: Right on Lincoln around to Sharp Shin.
• Path: Sharp Shin to Push Line.
• Finish: Right on Push Line down to Lincoln, then back to finish.

Seven Mile Course:

• Follow: Four mile course to Sharp Shin/Firebreak junction.
• Road: Right along the road to the top of Independence.
• Path: Left on Independence downhill, continue to bottom.
• Loop: Follow oval loop clockwise, then turn back uphill.

DIRECTIONS

• Location: Race staging area will be at Lincoln Park Technology and Trade Center.
• Address: 535 Chickamauga Ave, Knoxville, TN 37917.

KIDS TRAIL RACE

• Course: Kids will run a moderately hilly and truly fun course of about a mile.
• Time: Starting at 7:30.
• Location: Start and finish at base of trailhead: race signup and staging area at Lincoln Park Technology and Trade Center.

T-SHIRTS

• Special Edition: Limited edition T-shirts will be printed for the series.
• Distribution: One shirt per runner PER SEASON.
• Donation Impact: Taking multiple shirts minimizes monies we are able to donate to trail friendly causes.

TTT SERIES AWARDS

• Awards: Top 3 in each division receive free race entries.
• Drawing: Two lucky runners will receive a pair of shoes, sponsored by Runners Market.
• Presentation: Awards presented at the annual KTC Holiday Party in December.
• Membership Requirement: Must be a member of KTC and have volunteered two times for series awards.

RESULTS

• Availability: Results will be available on this RunSignup page at the Results link.

COURSE ETIQUETTE

• Conduct: Disqualification for unsportsmanlike conduct or abusive behavior to volunteers.
• Restrictions: No headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades or pets on the course due to insurance regulations.

SAFETY

• Aid Stations: Provided, but runners are urged to carry their own water.
• Medications: Sensitive individuals should carry their own medication for insect stings or bites.
• Pre-Race Training: Recommended to train off-road for experience.

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION

• Age Requirement: Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the adult race.
• Pace Enforcement: Enforcing an 18:00/mile minimum pace policy moving forward.

BIB INFORMATION

• Responsibility: Do not take a bib if not running: it’s a safety concern.
• Drop Out: Notify race officials if you need to drop out of the race.
