Sharps Ridge Runner 7M, 4M, and Kids Trail Mile

TIME & PLACE

• Race Start: 7M and 4M races start at 8:00 am.
• Kids Race: will start at 7:30 am.
• Location: Dr. Paul L. Kelley Volunteer Academy, 535 Chickamauga Avenue, Knoxville TN 37917.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

• 7 Mile and 4 Mile: Courses start on a paved road before heading into park trails.
• Trail Features: Moderately technical and flowing trails with climbs and descents.
• Kids Mile: Entirely on trail.
• Four Mile Course: Specific path details through Hanover Street, Lincoln, and Push Line.

Seven Mile Course

• Initial Path: Follow the four mile course to Sharp Shin/Firebreak junction.
• Top of Independence: Right along road then left down hill.
• Finish Route: Downhill finish on Hanover.
• Course Integration: Share markers with four mile race.

• Fees: No refunds and no bib transfers: KTC member discount accepted.

• Course: Fun, moderately hilly mile course starting at 7:30.
• Location: Start and finish at the base of trailhead.
• Staging Area: Registration and staging at Lincoln Park Technology and Trade Center.

• Special Editions: Limited edition T-shirts for the series.
• Shirt Limit: One shirt per runner per season.
• Donations: Taking multiple shirts limits donations to trail-friendly causes.

TTT SERIES AWARDS

• Awards: Top 3 in each division receive free race entries.
• Drawings: Two lucky runners can win a pair of shoes.
• Eligibility: Must be a KTC member and volunteer twice during the season.

RESULTS

COURSE ETIQUETTE

• Disqualification: Unsportsmanlike conduct may lead to disqualification.
• Prohibited Items: No headsets, bicycles, strollers, or pets allowed.

SAFETY

• Aid Stations: Water stations will be provided, but runners are encouraged to carry their own water.
• Insect Precautions: Bring medication if sensitive to insect stings.
• Training: Pre-race offroad training is highly recommended.

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION

• Safety Measures: Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Pace Enforcement: Minimum pace of 18:00/mile will be enforced moving forward.

BIB USAGE

• Race Tracking: Don’t take a bib if you’re not running to ensure safety.
• Communication: Inform race officials if you drop out.
• Preservation: Don’t fold or damage the bib.
