SHARPS RIDGE RUNNER 7M, 4M, AND KIDS TRAIL MILE

TIME & PLACE:

• Start Times: 7M and 4M races start at 8:00 am. Kids Race will start at 7:30 am.
• Location: Race will start and finish at Dr. Paul L. Kelley Volunteer Academy.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

• Course Type: 7 mile and 4 mile courses start on a paved road before heading into park trails.
• Trail Details: Trails are moderately technical and flow as they climb and descend Sharp's Ridge.
• Kids Mile: All on the trail.
• Four Mile Course: Features detailed segment descriptions from Hanover Street to Lincoln, Sharp Shin, and Push Line.

SEVEN MILE COURSE:

• Routing: Follows four mile course to the Sharp Shin/Firebreak junction.
• Terrain: Includes uphill running along Independence and a downhill finish.
• Landmarks: Passes Lincoln extension and continues around the ridge.
• Finish Path: Downhill finish on Hanover.

• Staging Area: Lincoln Park Technology and Trade Center, 535 Chickamauga Ave, Knoxville, TN 37917.

KIDS TRAIL RACE:

• Course Description: Kids will run a moderately hilly course of about a mile.
• Start/Finish: Starts and finishes at the base of the trailhead.
• Staging Area: Race signup and staging will be at Lincoln Park Technology and Trade Center.

T-SHIRTS:

• Special Designs: Limited edition T-shirts for the series.
• One Per Runner: One shirt per runner PER SEASON.
• Support: Multi-shirts minimize donations to trail-friendly causes.

TTT SERIES AWARDS:

• Awards: Top 3 in each division receive free race entries.
• Lucky Draw: Two runners will win a pair of shoes.
• Qualification: Must be a KTC member and volunteer twice during the season.
• Award Ceremony: Held at KTC Holiday Party in December.

RESULTS:

• Availability: Results will be posted on RunSignup page.

COURSE ETIQUETTE:

• Disqualification: Unsportsmanlike conduct may lead to disqualification.
• Restrictions: No headsets, earphones, bicycles, strollers, or pets on the course.

SAFETY:

• Water Stations: Aid and water stations provided: runners are urged to carry their own water.
• Medication: Recommended for those sensitive to insect stings.
• Pre-race Training: Offroad training is encouraged for a better experience.

SAFETY POLICY CLARIFICATION:

• Age Restrictions: Runners under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult for adult races.
• Pace Enforcement: A minimum pace of 18:00/mile will be enforced moving forward.
• Sweeper Provided: To ensure all runners maintain the required pace.

BIBS POLICY:

• Importance: Do not take a bib if you are not running: it poses safety concerns.
• Withdrawal Notification: Please inform race officials if you drop out.
• Proper Care: Do not fold or damage the bib for accurate time recording.
