• T-Shirt: Registrations received before May 7th, 2025 receive a T-Shirt
• New Category: 10K Ruck - see details below!
• Award: The coveted “COW CHIP” is awarded to the top 10K male and female winners
• Medals: Medals in each age category for the top three finishers

🕒 Event Start Times

• 10K Walk & Ruck: 7:30 A.M.
• 10K Runners and Pony Express Relay: 8:00 A.M.
• 5K Runners: 8:00 A.M.
• Awards Ceremony: 9:30 A.M.

🌄 Trail Run Events

• 10K Ruck: Hike along our 10K loop, includes two creek crossings
• Awards: Overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Heaviest Pack
• 10K RUN: Includes two creek crossings and famed “Suicide Hill”
• 5K RUN: An out and back 5K featuring an up and over route of Suicide Hill

🏅 Pony Express Relay

• Unique Event: The only one of its kind in Trail Runs
• Team: Three runners must compete as a team
• Course: Covers the 10K course, each runner doing approximately one third
• Batons: Furnished for relay teams

• Men's 10K: Jeffery Baily (42:17-1990) in 0-12 category
• Women's 10K: Nicky Ramage (54:55-1989) in 0-12 category
• Men's 5K: Bobby Smith (17:10-1984) in 13-19 category
• Women's 5K: Brenna German (23:19-2008) in 0-12 category

🌿 About the Race

One of Kansas' original Trail Runs that began in 1982. The course includes roadways, rolling native grassland, cowboys, the famed Suicide Hill and start/finish on Main Street. This course is as beautiful as it is demanding and it brings out the best in runners each year.
