Event Overview

Labor Day Weekend!

A unique 5K experience where participants run or walk through the beautifully manicured resort grounds, weaving past lakes, golf fairways, gardens, and historic architecture. It’s more than a race — it’s an experience.

Two Course Challenge

• Participation: Participants can also take on the 2026 Two Course Challenge by participating in Run the Resort on Labor Day Weekend and Run the Course in the spring.
• Medals: Complete both events and earn two connected medals — each representing a different course — that join together to form one magnificent double challenge medal.
• Registration Savings: Register for both at once and save 10% on each race!
• Courses: Two races. Two historic courses. One unforgettable challenge.

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, September 5th, 2026
• Location: Mission Resort + Club, Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida
• Start Time: 7:30 AM
• Wellness Weekend: Make it a full wellness weekend with optional spa packages, brunch, or an overnight stay at our scenic Howey-in-the-Hills resort.

Race Entry Includes

• Finisher's Medal: Custom finisher’s medal
• Race Shirt: Official Run the Resort 5K race shirt
• Timing: Professionally timed 5K race for in person
• Post-Race Treats: Post-race breakfast sandwiches and beverages

Important Notes

• Registration: All participants must be registered. Anyone running without a bib will be asked to leave and possibly banned from future events.
• Pacing: If you're pacing someone (a child, spouse, or friend), you must register as well.

Packet Pick-Up

• Location: Mission Resort + Club (Located at 10400 County Road 48, Phone: 352. 324.3101 Ext: 7281)
• Days: Friday, September 4th from 2pm-6pm
• Race Day: 6:30 AM - 7:15 AM by the Start Line and also at the Club House
• Registration: Available online until 6:55 AM, as long as the event is not sold out. No on-site paper registration.

Strollers & Pets

• Strollers: Strollers welcome – please start near the back
• Pets: Pets not permitted on course (service animals allowed with advance notice)

Awards

Stay post race to celebrate our top finishers. Awards ceremony will begin at 8:30 AM. Categories are top 3 Male and Female overall, First Male and Female Masters, and top 3 Male and Female in 10-year age groups, starting with 19 and under up to 70 and over. You may log in to our results page to view the results post race as participants finish.
