Where the River Runs 15K (9.3 Miles) Trail Race - July 12, 2025 - Shenango Trail

This event is proudly offered by Shenango River Watchers, located in Hermitage, PA.

🌲 Event Highlights

• Location: Beautiful woods of western Pennsylvania alongside the Shenango River.
• Trail History: Originally a canal towpath in the 1800s, now revitalized for public enjoyment.
• Course Type: Point to point, starting from Big Bend trailhead to Kidds Mill Covered Bridge.
• Ideal For: Beginners new to trail running and seasoned runners seeking a flat and fast course.

📝 Registration Details

• No Day-of Registration: Registration closes on July 8, 2025.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Register by June 26th to ensure your desired t-shirt size.
• Sign-in Requirement: Be at the sign-in location by 8:00 AM for race participation.
• Location: Reynolds High School - 531 Reynolds Rd, Greenville, PA 16125.

🚌 Race Day Information

• Shuttle Service: Buses leave Reynolds High School at 8:00 and 8:30 AM.
• Transportation: Participants will be shuttled to the starting line at Big Bend.
• Finish Line Return: Shuttle will return runners to their cars from Kidds Mill.
• Arrive Early: Late arrivals may miss the shuttle to the starting line.

⛰️ Course Route

• Course Length: Approximately 10 miles on a beautiful single-track trail.
• Scenery: More than half the course offers great views along the river.
• Elevation: Very flat with only about 100 ft of elevation gain - beginner friendly!
• Technical Footing: Watch for exposed roots and small stream crossings.

💧 Aid Stations

• First Aid Station: Water-only stop approximately 2.5 miles into the race.
• Second Aid Station: Located at 4.5 miles, required check-in, with water, Gatorade, and nutrition.
• Third Aid Station: Located around mile 7, with water and various nutrition options.
• Preparation: Be ready for possible high streams and muddy trail sections depending on weather.
