The 2nd Annual Crusaders Crush Cancer 5K

• Event Purpose: We are back for the 2nd annual Crusaders Crush Cancer 5K! We are ready to make this year bigger and better than last year!
• Organizers: This year's race is hosted by several senior students: Brendan Fogarty, Cathair Cashin, Ronan Moore, and Kevin Roughneen.
• Personal Story: Brendan started this event last year to honor his father, Sean Fogarty's, current battle with cancer.
• Proceeds: Proceeds from this event will again be split between Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Crusader Care Fund.

• Reputation: MSK is one of the world’s leading institutions dedicated solely to cancer care, research, and education.
• Recognition: Recognized as one of the top two cancer hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for more than 30 years.
• Mission: Their mission is bold and clear: ending cancer for life.
• Collaboration: Their world-class scientists and clinicians work together to translate groundbreaking research into life-saving therapies.

Crusader Care Fund

• Support: Provides vital support to Archbishop Stepinac High School families facing serious illness.
• Financial Relief: This fund helps ease the financial burdens these families may encounter during incredibly challenging times.
• Solidarity: Offering relief and solidarity when it is needed most.
• Impact: Making a meaningful difference in challenging life circumstances.

Happiness is Camping

• Purpose: Offering wristbands and hats for sale to benefit the Happiness is Camping organization.
• Target Group: A nonprofit overnight camp designed for kids ages 6-17 who have or had cancer and their siblings.
• Participant Insight: For Cathair Cashin, it was the most magical place on earth during his battle with cancer.
• Impactful Experience: Cathair described the camp as a place where joy, care, and hope are abundant.

By participating in the Crusaders Crush Cancer 5K, you’re not just running—you’re standing with families in our community and contributing to the larger fight to end cancer.

The Details

• Date & Location: The race will be held on Sunday, April 19th, at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY.
• Start Time: Race start is at 9 AM with a one hour time limit.
• Bib Pickup: Will be held at the school starting at 7:45 AM. Early arrival is suggested.
• Shirts: Each runner/walker will be guaranteed a performance/dri-fit race t-shirt if registered by April 9th.

Awards

• Overall Male: Top 3 overall male finishers.
• Overall Female: Top 3 overall female finishers.
• Age Groups: Top 3 male/female age group awards.
