• Diagnosis: In June of 2022, our friend Cal was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
• Impact: The diagnosis has been heartbreaking for his family and friends, as Cal has been a steadfast fixture in their lives.
• Memories: His unforgettable laugh is the heartbeat of many well-told stories, spanning his childhood, high school, and college days.
• Life Perspective: Cal’s ALS diagnosis has changed our perspective on life, emphasizing what matters most.

• Mantra: For Sabina, ‘Cal’s Journey’ has become a way of accepting the unknown.
• Community Love: She has felt the unwavering love from friends, colleagues, and the community.
• Event Purpose: The third annual Cal’s Journey 5K is held in honor of our continued support of the Carlson family.

🎉 Race Registration Details

• Gratitude: The Carlson’s are grateful for the overwhelming show of generosity from friends and family from last year’s event.
• Cost Coverage: This year's race registration will cover the cost of the event and related items.
• Additional Funds: Any additional funds will be considered a gift to the family and will not be tax-deductible.
• Focus: This year’s race will focus on honoring the time we have with one another.
