8th Annual ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K Run+Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Over the past seven years, more than 800 people from 34 states and 3 countries have laced up with us to shine a light on child sexual abuse and exploitation, and we’re just getting started! Hosted by The Starr Institute (TSI), the ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K Run+Walk is more than a race, it’s a movement. Together, we’re putting #preventioninmotion while creating a safe, empowering space for youth, families, and the community.

👟 Who Can Participate

Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or just looking for a great way to give back and have fun, you belong here. This is a family-friendly event where everyone is welcome to move at their own pace and show their support.

📅 Participation Options

• Virtual Race Week: October 26 – November 1, 2025
• Location: Complete your 3.1 miles from anywhere, your neighborhood, a local trail, or even a treadmill.
• Format: Run or walk solo or with a crew. Just choose your route and do your 5K, your way.

• In-Person Event: Saturday, November 1, 2025
• Location: Join us bright and early at Miramar Regional Park for our community celebration of hope and healing!
• Schedule: Registration opens at 6 AM | Race kickoff at 7 AM
• Special Offer: First 100 in-person finishers receive a commemorative medal!
