Rise 'n Run 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Rise 'n Run is the latest addition to the Middlebury Fall Fest on Saturday, September 6! This is a fundraiser for the Middlebury Food Pantry, which provides groceries for hundreds of families using volunteer helpers!

⏰ Race Details

• 5K Start Time: 8:30 am
• Event Type: Timed event suitable for serious runners and walkers!
• Course Description: Scenic out and back route showcasing the bucolic Middlebury area, protected from traffic.
• Finish Line Treat: Enjoy Rise 'n Roll donuts for everyone at the finish line!

🚶 1 Mile Walk

• Start Time: 8:00 am
• Timing: Not timed, perfect for families and individuals wanting exercise.
• Participants: Great for kids and families!
• Entry Fee Includes: T-shirt, timed entry (5K only), course support, and awards in the 5K.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Options

• Pricing: Special Youth (13 and under) and family pricing available (2 adults and two children).
• Distance Choice: Family pack allows running the 5K or walking either distance.
• Check-In: Indicate preferred distance at packet pickup.

📍 Location Information

• Start and Finish: 106 State Street, Middlebury
• Parking: Located at 103 State Street: follow directions to nearby parking areas if full.
• Volunteers: Please follow volunteer directions and/or signage in the morning.

🥤 Post-Race Amenities

• Refreshments: Available after returning from the race.
• Awards Ceremony: Awards for top 3 male and female runners, plus age group winners in the 5K.
• Timing Updates: Times will be posted to Runsignup as soon as possible.

• Bring Cash: Be prepared to enjoy the festival booths.
• Dog Policy: Dogs are not allowed at the Middlebury Fall Festival.

👕 Shirt Sizes

Please note that the shirt order goes in on August 15 in order to complete production. We do order extra shirts, but shirt sizes and availability are not guaranteed after that date. If you are able to select a size in the registration process, that means we still have shirts in your size available. If there is nothing in your size, please check in after the race since there is often size switching going on!
