Come join us for the Haunted Halloween Hustle! We have a distance for everyone!

• Haunted Half Marathon

Course Information

The race is based out of the lovely Abshire Park in Goshen, Indiana. The courses are all on the fantastic, scenic Pumpkinvine trail which is largely ensconced by old trees. All distances are out and back so there is absolutely NO WAY to miss a turn, get lost or lose your mates! Just get into your zone, forget about your cares and count down the miles!

Support and Safety

• Encouragement: You will always have people around you to encourage you and get you to the finish line!
• Traffic Safety: The path is completely protected from traffic, except at a few cross roads where we will have police and volunteers to keep you safe.
• Facilities: There are also several porta potties along the way, which is always nice—especially on the longer distances.
• Local Gem: If you have never been on the Pumpkinvine Path, it is a local gem! We are so lucky to have access to this fabulous path in our area!

Getting to the Start Line

Lincoln Avenue is under construction now, impassable, so you will be rerouted via Wilden -> Steury Road or from the East. It’s not a big deal, but good to know in advance. Everyone will need to park and walk a bit, so just allow about 15 minutes for that.

Awards

All participants get a finisher medal, Overall Top Three MF, and Age group awards in the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. New this year, we will have Overall awards for the Grand Masters in each distance. The Mile is not timed, but you will get a finisher medal.

Sign Up for Costume Awards

Sign up for the costume awards when you arrive at Abshire (to make sure we get a photo and you won't be missed) and when you get back from your run, you can see if you won! We usually do a Monster Mash parade just so everyone can see all the costumes! Makes it fun!

New Features in 2025

• Shirts: Shirts are optional and an additional cost of $16. If you have too many shirts, just skip it!
• Order Deadline: We do order extra shirts, but you need to sign up by October 10 to guarantee your size and availability.
• Vintage Shirts: We will also have vintage performance shirts for sale onsite for $5.00, so bring a few bucks if you are interested.
• Dawn Patrol: For those wanting more time to complete the half marathon distance, we are offering "Dawn Patrol" which will begin at 8:00 am.

Awards Ceremony

The awards ceremony times will not change.

Food and Refreshments

• Food Truck: Onsite food truck!
• Refreshments: Ben's Pretzels will have fresh pretzels there, and we’ll have hot cocoa, soup, coffee, cookies, and so much more waiting for you at the finish line.

Packet Pickup and Registration

You are welcome to pick up for your friends. For your convenience, we have added a pickup location on Wednesday!

• Wednesday, October 28: 4:30 - 6:00 pm at Fleet Feet Mishawaka
• Friday, October 30: 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Abshire Park Pavilion, 1302 East Lincoln Avenue, Goshen
• Saturday, October 31: 6:45 - 8:15 am at Abshire Park Pavilion, 1302 East Lincoln Avenue, Goshen

Parking on Race Day

There is no parking at Abshire Park on race day for participants. There is a small lot which will be used for staging race supplies and volunteers. On Race morning, Boy Scout Troop # 12 will be directing traffic to local businesses along Lincoln Avenue. Please allow a little extra time to get to the area.

Beneficiary

This race benefits the Elkhart County Down Syndrome Support Group and 2025 is super exciting because we will be announcing some very big plans for the group at the race!

Volunteer Opportunities

Not a runner? We always need active spectators to cheer on the runners, hand out water, watch for traffic, etc. Please let us know if your support group is available to help out!
