🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Back by popular demand. Putnam County’s most iconic Race. Yes, after a five year hiatus our most iconic race is back! The Putnam County Classic is now a 5.3 mile run to support the Mahopac Fire Department, which will get half of the proceeds.

📅 Event Details

• Date: July 4th
• Start Time: 7AM
• Registration: Open now with an early bird discount through June 10
• Discount: Taconic members get an additional $5.00 off throughout the registration period

🏞️ Race Course

Circling the beautiful shores of Lake Mahopac, this scenic and challenging run showcases all Mahopac has to offer.

• Starting Point: Across Route 6 from the Mahopac Fire Department
• Course Details: Starts flat and fast for the first half, running west along the lake and through the town center
• Scenery: The course circles around stunning homes and scenic lake views
• Finish: Final mile passes by the Mahopac Golf Course with flat terrain to the finish line on Croton Falls Road

🎉 Event Festivities

This is going to be a Fun and Festive event!

• Awards Ceremony: Overlooking Lake Mahopac, a great place for pictures after the race
• Post-Race Refreshments: Morning Mimosas and Bloody Marys at Friends Waterfront Grill
• Discounted Brunch: Sponsored by the VFW, a short walk from the finish line
• Boat Parade: View the Annual 4th of July boat parade beginning at 10am on Lake Mahopac
