🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: The Putnam County Classic is back after a five year hiatus.
• Distance: This year, the race is a 5.3 mile run supporting the Mahopac Fire Department.
• Date: The race will take place on July 4th, starting at 7 AM.
• Proceeds: Half of the proceeds will go to the Mahopac Fire Department.

📅 Registration Details

• Registration Open: Early bird discount available until June 10.
• Taconic Members: Receive an additional $5.00 off during the registration period.
• Race Day Registration: Available for participants on the day of the race.
• Location: 12 Croton Falls Road, Mahopac, NY.

🏞️ Course Description

• Starting Point: Located across Route 6 from the Mahopac Fire Department.
• Course Layout: The course starts flat and fast, running west along Lake Mahopac.
• Scenic Views: Features stunning homes, scenic lake views, and challenging hills.
• Finish Line: A flat terrain straight shot on Croton Falls Road, passing by the Mahopac Golf Course.

🥳 Post-Race Festivities

• Awards Ceremony: Held overlooking Lake Mahopac with scenic views.
• Food and Drinks: Enjoy morning Mimosas and Bloody Marys at Friends Waterfront Grill.
• Discounted Brunch: Sponsored by the VFW, available just a short walk from the finish line.
• Boat Parade: Spectate the Annual 4th of July boat parade starting at 10 AM.
