Musser Madness endurance race

Event Overview

Location and Setting

• Camp Hart: A rustic Boy Scout camp located along the Unami Creek.
• Natural Environment: Offers a preserved open space for a unique running experience.
• Trail Description: Comprises mainly double track technical trails with some single-track sections.
• Natural Elements: Runners will encounter tree roots, rocks, dirt, mud, and plenty of shade.

Terrain and Elevation

• Challenging Course: The course includes hills to provide an added challenge.
• Elevation Change: Enhances the scenic experience of the race.
• Varied Nature: The elevation changes contribute to the diversity of the terrain.

Aid Station and Refreshments

• Available Aid: One aid station will be present during the race.
• Food Offerings: Includes carbohydrates, fruits, water, Gatorade, and soda.
• Hot Food: Participants will have access to hot food for refueling during breaks.

Parking and Logistics

• Parking Distance: Parking may be about 1/4 mile from the start/finish area.
• Convenience: Runners and crew can bring their cars closer to the loop start/finish.

Important Race Information

• Last Lap Duration: The last lap must be completed by 5:30 PM.
• Course Closure: All runners must be off the course by 7 PM, no exceptions.
