🏃‍♂️Event Overview

• Date: October 26th, 2025
• Time: 9:00 am - Meow Mile
• Location: Prairie Point Elementary School, 3650 Grove Rd, Oswego, IL
• Start Times: 9:00 am for Meow Mile, 9:30 am for 5K/8K

🎉Event Information

• Chip-Timed: Races are chip-timed at the start and finish.
• Course Closure: The course will close at 11:30 a.m.
• Costumes: Costumes are encouraged!
• Restrictions: Bikes, skates, scooters, skateboards, and dogs are prohibited.

🎓Community Impact

• Fraidycat Scholarships: Scholarships for Oswego High School and Oswego East High School seniors.
• Proceeds: A portion of the proceeds supports community volunteers.

📦Packet Pickup

• October 23: 2 pm - 6 pm, Chamber office, 25 E Jackson St, Oswego
• October 24: 8 am - 5 pm, Chamber office, 25 E Jackson St, Oswego
• October 25: 8 am - 11 am, Chamber office, 25 E Jackson St, Oswego
• October 26: 7:30 – 8:45 am, Onsite at Prairie Point School

🏆Prizes

• Meow Mile: Awards for top male and female finishers: all participants receive a ribbon.
• FraidyCat 5K: Awards for top overall male and female finishers, age group medals for top three in each group.
• Ghost Run 8K: Awards for top overall male and female finishers, age group medals for top three in each group.
• Finisher Medals: All runners for the 5K and 8K receive finisher medals.

🕒Race Details

• Race Day Registration: Starts at 7:30 am, closes by 8:45 am.
• Event Timing: Mile at 9:00 am: 5K/8K at approximately 9:30 am.
• Weather Policy: Event occurs rain or shine: cancellations due to dangerous weather will be announced on-site.

🚗Parking Information

• Limited Parking: Available at Prairie Point Elementary School and nearby Park District parking.
• Carpooling: Encouraged to help reduce carbon footprint.
• On-Street Parking: Allowed only on streets not used for the run course.
• Final Details: Check race website and packet for instructions.
