Race Schedule
- Meow Mile: Starts at 9:00 AM
- Ghost Run 8K: Starts at 9:20 AM
- FraidyCat 5K: Starts at approximately 9:30 AM
- Course Closing: 11:30 AM
Event Information
- Chip-timed: All races are chip-timed at the start and finish.
- Costumes: Costumes are encouraged!
- Restrictions: Bikes, skates, scooters, skateboards, and dogs are prohibited.
- Team Triumph: Teams are welcomed and encouraged.
Packet Pickup
- Thursday, October 22: 2 PM - 6 PM at Chamber office, 25 E Jackson St, Oswego
- Friday, October 23: 8 AM - 5 PM at Chamber office, 25 E Jackson St, Oswego
- Saturday, October 24: 8 AM - 11 AM at Chamber office, 25 E Jackson St, Oswego
- Race Day (October 25): 7:30 AM - 8:45 AM onsite at Prairie Point School
Prizes
- Meow Mile: Awards for top male and female finishers, plus ribbons for all participants.
- FraidyCat 5K: Awards for top overall male and female finishers, age group medals for top three finishers.
- Ghost Run 8K: Similar prize structure as the 5K: awards for top finishers and age group medals.
- Awards Presentation: Meow Mile at approximately 10:15 AM: Ghost Run at approximately 10:45 AM.
Registration
- Registration Start: 7:30 AM onsite.
- Online Registration: Available via provided link.
- Close of Registration: All registration closes at 8:45 AM.
- Age Groups: Check the FraidyCat website for age group breakdowns.
Weather Policy
The event will take place rain or shine. Cancellation announcements, if needed due to dangerous weather, will be made on-site on race day and via the FraidyCat Facebook page.
Parking Information
- Limited Parking: Available at Prairie Point Elementary School and Park District parking lot off of Plainfield Rd.
- Carpooling: Highly recommended to reduce carbon footprint.
- On-street Parking: Allowed only on streets not used for the run course.
- Updates: Check race website and packet for final details and new maps.
