🎆 Event Overview

Start your 4th of July off with Stumpy's 5k!! This 5K out and back takes you through scenic downtown Shirland, IL, through the rolling hills of the countryside to say a quick hello to Stumpy, then back. Join us and make your own 4th of July tradition!

The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk begins at the school and takes you through scenic downtown Shirland, IL and back.

The race begins and ends at Shirland Grade School located at 8020 North St, Shirland, IL 61079.

All proceeds of this event will be donated to Shirland Grade School to be used for technology updates!! If you would prefer to not run/walk and would like to make a donation, please click the donate button and your donation will be graciously accepted.

🕒 Registration Information

• Deadline: Register by June 20, 2025 to be guaranteed a timing chip & collectable edition t-shirt!
• Includes:

⏰ Start Time

Start time: 7:00 AM 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. There will be a water station at the Stumpy turn around for 5K participants.

📦 Packet Pick-up

Packet pick-up will be held in front of Shirland Grade School (8020 North St. Shirland, IL) on Thursday, July 3rd, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 PM. Same day packet pickup available starting at 6:15 AM in front of the school.

🚫 No Same Day Registration

There will be no same day registration this year. Registration closes on July 4 at 12:00 AM.
