Event Overview
It’s gonna be a mess — in the best way possible. The Hot Mess Trail Races take place at Parvin State Park in Pittsgrove, NJ, offering two awesome options: a classic half marathon and a choose-your-own-adventure-style 6 hour ultra. Whether you're here to push your pace or your time on feet, this race is all about trails, community, and getting a little dirty in the woods.
Course Details
- Start/Finish Location: Danna Farm Fields.
- Course Type: Mostly flat and fast lollipop-style loop.
- Terrain: 95% trail with twisty single-track, sand, and roots.
- Beginner Friendly: Designed for all levels of runners.
Half Marathon
- Course Structure: Complete two full loops of the lollipop.
- Distance: Standard half marathon distance.
- Aid Stations: Located around miles 3.5 and 8.5.
- Return to Finish: Finish after completing the loops.
6 Hour Ultra
- Loop Distance: 4-mile loop.
- Laps: Run as many laps as you can (or want).
- Refueling: Return to the pit after every lap.
- Aid Station: Only at the start/finish area.
Race Policies
- Carry-In, Carry-Out: This is a cupless race.
- Trash Disposal: All trash must be disposed of at the start/finish line - DO NOT LITTER.
- Cup Requirement: All runners MUST carry their own cup.
