💔 About Weighted Angels

• Mission: Weighted Angels is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization operating out of the Virginia Peninsula.
• Support: We provide weighted stuffed animals to grieving families who have experienced stillbirth and infant loss before they leave the hospital.
• Awareness: Did you know the fastest 5k ever run was completed by Joshua Cheptegei in 12 minutes and 35 seconds?
• Statistics: With the current rate of stillbirth being 1 every 16 seconds, families need our support now more than ever.

🏅 Event Participation

• Join Us: Participate in the Weighted Angels 5K to raise awareness and funds in honor of our loved ones.
• Format: Walk/run in person or virtually this year.

• October Awareness: Help bring awareness during October Infant & Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month.

Early Packet Pick Up

• Date: Friday, October 17th, 2025 | Time: 5:30pm-7:30pm
• Location: Billsburg Brewery, 2054 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.

Day of Race Registration & Packet Pick-Up

• Date: Saturday, October 18th, 2025 | Time: 8:00am-9:55am
• Note: Day of Race Registration is $45.00 and a T-Shirt and race entry is not guaranteed.
• Service Pause: There will be a pause in registrations and packet pick-up from 9:00am-9:15am during our Memorial Service.

1 Mile Fun Run

• Early Bird: $15 through 07/31/2025
• Regular Registration: $20 from 08/01/2025-10/10/2025
• Last Minute: $25 from 10/11/2025-10/15/2025 - No online registration after 10/15/2025
• Day of Registration: $30 on 10/18/2025 (no guarantee of fun run bag)

🏁 Course Details

The course features a flat and very fast 5K starting and finishing on the service road at the beginning of the Virginia Capital Trail, looping through the scenic, shaded Landfall at Jamestown neighborhood. The one mile fun run is an out-and-back along the same route.

🤝 Create a Team Fundraiser

Create a team to honor the memory and celebrate the lives of a loved one. The top three fundraising teams will receive an award.

🐾 1 Mile Zoo Fun Run

Kids can dress up in their favorite zoo animal attire for this fun race! The run will be an out-and-back 1 mile run.

🖥️ Virtual Option

Complete your walk or run in memory of a loved one virtually between now and Saturday, October 18, 2025. Virtual participants will receive a medal and t-shirt (plus shipping and handling).

🏆 Awards

Cash prizes to top three overall men and women. Awards to the top three in five-year age groups and top three men and women in the walk division. Awards are only offered for in-person runners.

🕊️ Memorial Service

Join us for a loving service to recognize the sweet babies that have left us too soon. Each attendee will create a personalized bracelet in honor of their loved one.

✨ Honor Your Angel

Honor your angel by having their name on the back of all of the race t-shirts. Must be submitted by 09/19/2025 to guarantee inclusion.
