2025 GVSU Turkey Trot

Event Overview

Back for its 12th year, the Turkey Trot 5k is returning to Grand Valley's beautiful campus! Join us the Saturday before Thanksgiving, November 22nd, to burn some pre-thanksgiving calories and earn a commemorative t-shirt (and PR).

Course Details

• Start and Finish: Under the iconic blue transformational link.
• Course Type: Flat and paved (fast) course.
• Course Marshals: Present at nearly every turn.
• Proceeds: Benefit the GVSU Run Club, supporting student-athletes.

Updates

We are out of Turkey Trot t-shirts for this year as of 11/9. However, we have GVSU Run Club shirts as an option for those who do not receive a Turkey Trot shirt! T-shirts that are not picked up will also be available after the race.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top two in each age category as well as 1st overall male and female.

• Age Categories: 0-10, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Race Details

• Start Time: 9 am. Course will be open through 10 am.
• Finish Policy: Participants who have not finished by 10 am are welcome to finish: however, marshals may not be present.
• Packet Pickup:
  • 4-7 pm on Friday, November 21st at Gazelle Sports in Grandville (plus a 10% discount off Gazelle products).
  • 7:30-9 am before the race on November 22nd in the Cook deWitt Center.
• Parking: Free in Lot H student or faculty parking: do not park in pay to park spots.

Pricing

• $20: Until July 31st.
• $25: Until October 15th.
• $30: Until race day.
