9th Annual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k

The 9th Annual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in celebration of World Ostomy Day weekend. Join us at the beautiful Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park in Meridian, Idaho. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. Race Day Schedule

  • Packet pick-up: from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon
  • The run: will start at Noon
  • Sponsors and vendors: will be onsite from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM

Registration Information

DON'T DELAY, REGISTER TODAY! We cannot guarantee size and availability of the 2026 World Ostomy Day & Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k T-shirts after Wednesday, September 4th!

The Registration Fee includes a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt, Bib with timing chip, and runner "swag" bag. So don't delay, register today to guarantee availability in your t-shirt size!

Race Course

This 5k Fun Run will be held at the Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park, Shelter A at 1900 N Records Ave in Meridian. The exact route map will be included in your registration packets and posted in the registration area.

The Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park is a 58-acre regional park established in 2012. The park was a gift to the City of Meridian in honor of the man who once farmed the land on which the park is now located. The park includes many amenities such as:

  • Amphitheatre
  • Bocce Ball
  • Community Garden
  • Stocked Fishing Ponds

There is ample free parking available.

Prizes will be awarded to the top Male and top Female, the top Male and Female Ostomates.

Optional Ostomy Pouch

Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch provided by our sponsors. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on the pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.

Create or Join a Race Group/Team!

Once you’ve registered you have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, pick to be on your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you!

Fundraising

Raise $100 or more: and your Registration Fee will be refunded!

Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATE button at the top of this page.

The Champion level fundraisers will also receive the Empower level fundraising award.

United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports, empowers and advocates for the estimated 725,000 to 1 million people who are living with an ostomy or continent diversion across the country. Your generous donation helps us to raise awareness of this life-saving surgery and to continue our mission of promoting their quality of life through information, support, advocacy and collaboration.

Run Referral Program

Invite 5 other people to register and participate in the Run with you and you will be refunded $20 on YOUR registration! Simply share your unique referral link found on your registration confirmation page (email). The referral program is valid for all in-person run locations and the virtual event so even if they cannot join you where you are, they can still celebrate from afar!
