🚴‍♀️ General Ride Information

• Collaboration: The El Paso Bicycle Club (EPBC) is collaborating with University Medical Center Foundation of El Paso to bring the Chile Pepper Challenge Charity Ride and 5k Walk/Run to the Texas - New Mexico region.
• Routes: This year’s ride will feature the Upper and Mesilla Valleys with 4 different ride routes for cyclists of all skill levels and ambition.
• Support: All rides are fully supported with rest stops, route markings and SAG vehicles.
• Beneficiary: Proceeds benefit UMC’s Cardiac Care Fund, which supports awareness, early screenings, and life-saving treatments for heart disease and stroke.

👪 New this Year

• 5K Addition: This year we are adding a 5k walk/run to promote healthy living for our families within our community.
• Family Encouragement: Families are encouraged to participate in the 5k while they wait for their cycling enthusiast to cross the finish line.
• Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79.

• 62 mile Habanero Ride: start time 7:00 am
• 5K walk/run: start time 7:15 am
• 40 mile Chile Rojo Ride: start time 7:30 am
• 25 mile Chile Verde Ride: start time 8:30 am
• 5 mile Family Fun Bell Pepper Ride: start time 9:15 am

🛑 Rest Stops

• Frequency: Approximately every 15 miles-porta potties available
• 62 miles: 4 rest stops
• 40 miles: 3 rest stops
• 25 miles: 2 rest stops

• 62 mile: $75.00
• 40 mile: $65.00
• 25 mile: $40.00
• 5 mile: $25.00
• 5K walk/run: $25 individual entry
