🌳 About the Race
- Description: Join us for a 5K walk/run to benefit our wonderful library nestled in the Catskill mountains.
- Route: The run will take place at the gorgeous Ashokan Reservoir Promenade with beautiful views, mostly flat with one uphill at the start, and much of the route is closed to traffic.
- Costumes: Wear costumes! Dress up as your favorite character from any book, movie, TV show, comic book, screen play or fairy tale! Or come as yourself!
- Awards: There are overall awards, and awards for the top three in all standard 10-year age groups. Plus, an award for the best costume!
👨👩👧👦 Family Participation
- Family Friendly: Families and kiddos are welcome! Kids under 10 are free, but will not receive a shirt.
- Registration: If you would like to register the day of the event, registration will begin at 8 am, and will be $35. Pre-registration is recommended.
- Parking: Parking will be at Brown's Station, also known as the Aerators. Spaces are limited, so please be sure to carpool.
- T-shirt: Participants who register before August 19th will receive a T-shirt.
🚰 Post-Race Amenities
- Water Stop: We will have a water stop along the course.
- Refreshments: Complimentary refreshments and post-race snacks provided courtesy of the Olive Free Library.
- Timing: Timing will be provided by Mid-Hudson Timing.
- Refunds: Due to the fundraising nature of this event no refunds will be granted.
