Book It for the Olive Free Library!

5K walk/run Saturday September 13, 2025, 9:00 am start time.

🌄 Location and Route

• Beautiful Setting: Join us for a 5K walk/run to benefit our wonderful library nestled in the Catskill mountains.
• Amazing Views: Our run will take place at the gorgeous Ashokan Reservoir Promenade with the most beautiful views around.
• Course Details: It's mostly flat, with one uphill at the start of the course, and much of the route is closed to traffic.
• Parking: Parking will be at Brown's Station, also known as the Aerators. Spaces are limited, so please be sure to carpool.

🎭 Costume Contest

• Dress Up: Wear costumes! Dress up as your favorite character from any book, movie, TV show, comic book, screen play or fairy tale! Or come as yourself!
• Award for Best Costume: Plus, there will be an award for the best costume!

🏆 Awards and Registration

• Awards: There are overall awards, and awards for the top three in all standard 10-year age groups.
• Registration Options: If you would like to register the day of the event, registration will begin at 8 am, and will be $35. Pre-registration is recommended.
• Free Registration: Families and kiddos are welcome! Kids under 10 are free, but will not receive a shirt.
• T-shirt Deadline: Participants who register before August 23rd will receive a T-shirt.

💧 Course Amenities

• Water Stop: We will have a water stop along the course.
• Post-Race Snacks: Complimentary refreshments and post-race snacks provided courtesy of the Olive Free Library.

🚫 Refund Policy

Due to the fundraising nature of this event no refunds will be granted.
