About this race
Race Overview
The Primary purpose of this ride is to raise money and increase support for local activities and events that improve substance use awareness, recovery support and outreach, and promote healthy lifestyle opportunities.
Ride Options
- The Bill W.: This is a road ride of appx 53 miles. View Route
- The Doctor Bob: This is a gravel ride of appx 33 miles. View Route
- Easy Does it and Keep it Simple: This is an out and back. Total mileage appx 18 miles. View Route
Event Details
- Start Time: There will be a rolling start and you can start anytime between 0800 and 0900.
- Support: There will also be a sag wagon and a bike mechanic on hand.
- Post-Ride Festivity: Following the ride, all participants, along with their family and friends, are invited to the 9th Annual Recovery Fest—a celebration of hope, healing, and recovery.
- Location: The event will take place on the Deyo House lawn along historic Huguenot Street in the Village of New Paltz.
Festival Highlights
- Entertainment: Enjoy live music.
- Food: Free BBQ provided by Sideshow (served from 1:00–3:00 p.m.).
- Activities: Children's activities and a welcoming community atmosphere.
- Experience: Recovery Fest is a day of fun, support, and recognition of the journey of recovery from substance use and opioid use disorders.
Additional Activities
The event will feature information tables, inspiring speakers sharing their recovery stories, holistic health and wellness practitioners, Narcan training, an open mic, drumming, face painting, a bounce house, and other activities for children.
Everyone is Welcome
No one will be asked about their recovery status—come celebrate hope, community, and the power of recovery together.
